Gowap #4

The fourth volume of Le Gowap arrives from Le Lombard with all the zany energy the series is known for, and the cover sets the tone immediately: the lanky, blue-furred Gowap himself leaps across a vivid orange background in a colorful striped jacket and bow tie, cane in hand, while a cheerful little companion twirls an umbrella below him — the whole scene practically bouncing off the page. Creators Curd Ridel and Mythic keep their signature loose, rubbery style in full swing, and the cover's playful tagline "Vous avez dit Gowap?" captures the comic's good-natured absurdist charm perfectly. A delightful 1999 addition to any Franco-Belgian comics shelf.
