This 2015 Urban Comics collection of Gotham Central puts a deeply unsettling face front and center: the Hatter himself, Jervis Tetch, rendered in tense, close-up detail — prison-orange jumpsuit, a prison tag bearing his name, and a disturbingly calm expression that suggests danger coiled beneath the surface. The creative ensemble of Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka, Judd Winick, Michael Lark, Stefano Gaudiano, and Cliff Chiang brings Gotham's street-level world to life with gritty, noir-drenched authenticity.
