Gotham Academy: Second Semester #7

This 2017 issue of Gotham Academy: Second Semester delivers one of its most arresting covers: a young woman rendered in deep crimson stares out from the center of the composition, her image framed — almost consumed — by the enormous, glowing red eyes and pale blue face of a looming figure that nearly fills the entire cover. Karl Kerschl's cover art uses that striking two-tone palette to suggest something deeply unsettling about the relationship between the two figures, with the smaller character caught between fascination and danger.
