Gotham Academy: Second Semester #1

The gang is back at Gotham Academy for a new semester, and this first issue from the creative team of Brenden Fletcher, Becky Cloonan, and Karl Kerschl sets an immediately mischievous tone. Karl Kerschl's cover captures two students in winter coats and plaid skirts crouched against a snow-dusted stone wall — one holding a spray can while graffiti reading "SUCKS" decorates the building behind them — a scene that perfectly captures the series' blend of teen rebellion and gothic school atmosphere. If this opening image is any indication, second semester at Gotham Academy is going to be anything but ordinary.
