Volume 7 of Gokushufudou delivers another delightful slice of domestic life, with the cover showing our broad-shouldered, tattooed protagonist grinning wide as he carries a laundry basket — and the real star, a perfectly unbothered white cat perched right on top of the load. It's a charming snapshot of the series' signature humor: intimidating tough-guy energy completely disarmed by the cheerful rhythms of housework. Ookono Kousuke's comedy manga continues to find gold in that contrast, and this volume looks to be no exception.
