Ken Garing's lush, hand-crafted world gets a striking showcase in this fifth issue, with a cover depicting a young traveler — carrying a bundle of logs and clutching what appears to be a book — walking through a dense jungle, seemingly unaware of the enormous moss-covered giant looming behind him, its great arms raised against a blazing sky. A single red butterfly drifts between them, a small, delicate counterpoint to the immense creature framing the scene. It's a beautifully composed image that captures the series' sense of wonder — adventure and ancient, natural forces existing side by side.
