Godzilla: Rage Across Time #5

The fifth and final chapter of IDW's Godzilla: Rage Across Time closes out the series with a cover by Bob Eggleton that is nothing short of stunning — Godzilla rears up in volcanic fury, jaws wide and claws raised against a sky churning with fire and embers, while serpentine creatures lurk ominously in the foreground below. Eggleton's painterly style gives the image a raw, primordial weight that feels perfectly suited to a story spanning the ages. With writing and art from Jay Fotos and Jeff Zornow on the interior, this 2016 IDW release is a satisfying conclusion to a kaiju adventure built around the idea that no era of history is safe from the King of the Monsters.
