“Target: Godzilla Part 4”

The title says it all — Godzilla Versus Everybody! — and Arthur Adams's cover delivers exactly that promise, depicting the King of Monsters striding through a storm of explosions and billowing smoke while lightning crackles across a dark sky and city buildings loom in the background. Missile bursts and fireballs erupt all around Godzilla's massive frame, suggesting the full weight of humanity's firepower is being thrown at him to little obvious effect. This eighth issue of Dark Horse's 1996 series, part four of the "Target: Godzilla" arc, looks like a satisfying escalation for any fan of giant-monster mayhem.
