This issue presents two stories featuring American religious figures: "Lady in Gray," which chronicles Mother D'Youville, founder of the Community of Grey Nuns born as Marguerite de la Jemmerais in 1701 near Montreal, Quebec, whose order expanded across North America to provide education and charitable works; and an untitled story depicting early colonial missionaries and soldiers protecting settlers from Native Americans, with dialogue addressing the conversion and protection of indigenous peoples alongside European colonists.
