Written by various creators, the story follows Gloriana Demeter, also known as Glory, as she confronts her divine heritage and battles threats that blur the line between myth and reality, featuring appearances by allies like Supreme and SuperPatriot. The volume captures the early Image era's bold, experimental storytelling and dynamic artwork, offering a definitive look at this fan-favorite character's original adventures.
In "Who Wrote the Book of Love?: Chapter 1," Glory returns home to find one of Factors' men dead on her bed—just as the police close in, blaming her. With her friends Vandal and Rumble, she’s forced to flee, only to be pursued by a killer who mimics the same brutal method. As they seek answers in the dorm room, a mysterious symbol and a magical book draw them deeper into danger—until Glory’s mother arrives, only to be attacked by a monstrous demon genie. Written by Jo Duffy and illustrated by Mike Deodato Jr., with colors by Nathan Lumm, Byron Talman, and Extreme Color, and letters by Kurt Hathaway, the cover by Mike Deodato captures the chaos in bold, dynamic strokes.
