Volume 10 of Gleipnir delivers a striking cover that says everything about the series' dark, unsettling tone — a pale, wild-haired figure raises both arms dramatically as thick black tentacles coil around his body against a pale background etched with faint compass-rose symbols. Creator 武田すん (Takeda Sun) renders the figure with an almost supernatural menace, arms outstretched and face blank with an eerie calm that makes the scene feel as much ritualistic as threatening. Fans of the series will find this volume's presentation a fittingly atmospheric chapter in one of manga's more genuinely strange supernatural thrillers.
