"Everyone Knew But Me" follows Rosemary, a woman engaged to Cary, who discovers her fiancé has fallen in love with Joanne, a television glamour girl featured on a program Cary's new boss recently discovered. After Cary transfers to a larger town for work and begins spending time with Joanne, Rosemary becomes increasingly uncertain of his feelings despite his initial promises. When Cary's letters become infrequent and a gossip column suggests he may be coming to New York or sending for Rosemary, she confides in a friend who reveals the rumor that Cary is actually involved with Joanne professionally and romantically. In a separate story, a man asks his girlfriend Treva to marry him despite their financial struggles and his artistic ambitions, but she becomes torn when her wealthy ex, Stewart, reappears and offers her a more comfortable life, forcing her to choose between love and security.
