The issue contains two main stories. "Headline Heartbreak" follows a glamour model named Lacie who sneaks away to her Greenwich Village apartment to see her boyfriend Allan, a man beneath her social station. When Allan trails her and confronts her about lying regarding their date, Lacie's friend warns her that Don, a wealthy suitor interested in marrying her, will not tolerate her cheapening herself with Allan; Lacie ultimately chooses to break free from the glamorous life to be with Allan. A second story involves a young woman named Peg who encounters Joe, a working-class man from her past, during the Christmas season in New York; after Joe leaves to return to his ticket window job, Peg learns Joe is actually working for Gloria Grainger's father on the railroad and is engaged to Gloria, leading to romantic complications.
