Arlene is secretary-companion to the wealthy Mrs. Dudley and loves Earle, her employer’s nephew. Mrs. Dudley claims Earle is a “snob” and a “leech,” but Arlene doesn’t believe it. At Sun Valley, she meets the wealthy Kirk but immediately leaves for Palm Beach. Kirk follows Arlene to Palm Beach, claiming he loves her. Mrs. Dudley and Arlene sail for Italy; Arlene learns she’ll inherit her employer’s fortune and that’s why Earle has been so interested in her.
