In "The Thrill of Her Life," Angela Rodney, a sheltered New England woman, travels to New Orleans for Mardi Gras where she meets the charming Rick Dane and falls in love with him. Rick proposes and they plan a romantic cruise, but when Angela meets Rick's employer Wilbur Foster aboard ship, she becomes engaged to him instead after he promises her an exciting life. Upon returning to New York, Angela encounters Rick again at a theater where he is performing, and she realizes she must choose between her safe engagement to Foster and her true love for Rick, ultimately deciding to follow her heart.
