As the 'Hawaiian Hideaway' title suggests, tropical adventure is on the agenda, with Scrooge's fortune and the gang's misadventures providing the backdrop for the humor and action Gladstone's handsome album format showcased so well in the late 1980s.
In "Hawaiian Hideaway," Scrooge McDuck’s plan to secure his fortune on a remote Hawaiian island goes awry when the Beagle Boys hijack the shipment, trapping Scrooge and his nephews on an isolated shore inhabited only by the ancient Opu Nui and the elusive menehunes. With treasure at stake and no way off the island, the ducks must outwit their captors in a tropical showdown where every palm tree and hidden cave could hold a surprise.
In "A Financial Fable," Uncle Scrooge’s vast fortune—hidden in a massive corn crib on a farm—gets swept up by a sudden tornado and scattered across the country, turning everyone into a millionaire overnight. The unexpected windfall sets off a chain of chaotic and comical consequences as the suddenly wealthy scramble to make sense of their new lives.
