Girls' Love Stories #12
In "Nobody's Sweetheart," a 1951 DC gem, a flustered secretary named Liz finds herself stranded in a Miami hotel’s "engagement suite" after a booking mix-up. As a charming reporter named Ken courts her under the mistaken belief she’s already spoken for, their playful deception leads to a surprising moment of honesty—and a kiss—on the way to Havana. Art by Al Plastino captures the era’s romantic flair, and the cover by the same hand perfectly frames the story’s lighthearted tension.
