This issue of Girls' Crystal contains three stories. "Cherry of Happydale Hotel" by Jane Preston introduces Cherry Ashton, a receptionist at a lakeside hotel who becomes involved in a mystery surrounding a poodle and a girl cyclist, uncovering a tale of accident and deception. "That Moroccan Birthday of Surprises" features Wendy Durlston and her brother Dick in Morocco, where they discover that a valuable heirloom brooch meant as a birthday gift for their friend Narina has been replaced with a fake by the scheming Zala, leading to accusations and misunderstandings among the group.
