Girls' Crystal #955

Girls' Crystal #955 is an anthology comic containing seven picture stories for schoolgirls. "Friends of the Gypsy Skater" features Carol Fenton, who is forced to impersonate a gypsy girl named Mitzi at a Swiss skating competition after Mitzi sprains her ankle; Carol's friends work to prevent a mystery visitor from discovering her true identity and handing Mitzi a secret clue. "Hetty & Hal in Holland" follows two children spending a holiday in Holland as guests of a farmer, where they become shopkeepers on a Dutch barge and become entangled in a situation involving a welfare lady's determination to separate a sick child from her father. The issue also includes "The Schoolgirls' Own Library" section featuring two book-length stories: "The Schooldays She Longed to Share" and "Friends of the Wildwoods," along with a schoolgirl quiz and other features.
