Jane makes a successful acting debut with Norman’s theatrical troupe, and falls in love with him. When she learns her “rival” Vicki is actually Norman’s secret wife, Jane injures herself on stage. Norman says he’ll divorce Vicki and marry Jane, but when Dr. Bill informs him that Jane may never walk again, Norman ducks out: he only wanted to marry Jane to help his own career. A delicate operation restores her ability to walk, and Jane knows Bill is the one who deserves her love.
