Ginger's father invites her on a hunting trip, but she is initially reluctant because her friends Biff Baker, Skinny Lee, and Jerry Lang monopolize his attention with talk of football, basketball, and bowling. Ginger's friend Monk, a self-centered athlete, attempts to keep Ginger from going by claiming he will take over her social life in her absence. Despite Monk's interference and a mysterious prowler lurking about, Ginger ultimately agrees to join her father on the hunting expedition after he convinces her it will be a worthwhile adventure.
