Gilles Durance #2

A gorgeous tropical lagoon sets the scene for this second volume in the Gilles Durance series, published by HUM! in 2019. Callixte's cover artwork places a vivid red-and-white PBY Catalina seaplane at anchor in a turquoise bay framed by lush mountains, while a small group of figures tends to an inflatable raft alongside it and a woman in island attire relaxes on the rocks in the foreground. With its sun-drenched paradise backdrop and the promise of aerial adventure suggested by the series' winged logo, "Catalina in zwaar weer" looks like a thoroughly satisfying read for fans of classic aviation storytelling.
