This issue contains two stories featuring animal characters. In the first story, Little King Nepoo attempts to prove his legendary status to a skeptical professor by demonstrating a reflex action, leading to comedic chaos as he orchestrates a series of elaborate pranks involving a bathtub, a falling statue, a scared maid, and a swinging chandelier. In the second story, Superkatt goes fishing and encounters what appears to be a person with "cold black eyes leering and peering," only to discover it is actually another character escaped from the jailhouse, resulting in a confrontation about the stranger's presence.

When a young ground hog emerges to predict the coming of spring—and spots his shadow—the woodland creatures eagerly prepare for warm weather and spring cleaning. But a mix-up involving a beaver who's chosen to hibernate inland throws the whole season into confusion, leading to a chain of comic mishaps that leaves everyone sleeping far longer than they bargained for. This 1947 tale from Giggle Comics #39 is a hilarious spin on the Groundhog Day legend that proves sometimes nature's timetable gets wonderfully scrambled.
