Taking along Robin and Jimmy Olsen, the heroes confront a real threat from metalloid invaders—only to discover that the crisis is no act, and the true test of courage is just beginning.

In "Del II Prisjägaren från Jorden," Läderlappen's trust in Stålmannen shatters when he learns of a deception, sparking a fierce duel on Kandors arena—where Läderlappen emerges victorious. But as Stålmannen is overwhelmed by metalloider, it's Läderlappen who steps in to save him, reclaiming his self-worth in the process.

In "Fängelset för hjältar!", Läderlappen, once a hero, is brainwashed and exiled to another planet where his expertise is twisted to build a prison designed to trap superhumans. He lures in Stålmannen, only to subject him to a brutal ordeal—testing the limits of the facility’s design.

In "Del II Stålmannens hämnd!" from Gigant #2/1971, the imprisoned Stålmannen turns the tide by overpowering Läderlappen, setting in motion a brutal revenge. With the help of a mysterious device, he lures the alien minds behind the prison—ruthless intergalactic conquerors from the planet Vor—into a trap of their own making, turning their grand scheme against them.
