Giant-Sized Wacky Races #1
In "Wacky Races Chapter One: Qualifying," the final qualifying round heats up with all the classic chaos and inventive vehicles fans know, now with a slightly more grounded edge. Peter Perfect announces his acquisition of the Global Racing Federation, merging it into "Wacky Races Global" and postponing the race for a year—hinting at a deeper plan, especially as his attention turns to Penelope Pitstop’s recovery. Written by Ivan Cohen and illustrated by Mariano Benitez Chapo, with colors by Nick Caponi and letters by Jeff Eckleberry, the issue blends nostalgic mayhem with subtle shifts in the race’s future. The cover, by Joseph Michael Linsner, captures the moment’s electric tension.

The fifth and final qualifying round for the Wacky Races takes place, with all the mayhem and no-holds-barred tactics as were seen on the TV show, but played perhaps a little "straighter". Peter Perfect announces that his firm, "The Perfect Group" has purchased the Global Racing Federation and the Wacky Races, and is merging them immediately into "Wacky Races Global" bringing changes to come - including postponing the Wacky Races for a year. An apparent delaying tactic to allow Penelope Pitstop to get back on her feet both financially, and mechanically. Peter's interest in Penelope increases.
