Giant Days #41

A dark-haired young woman peers over a wooden fence with a magnificently grumpy expression, gripping the fence posts with both hands as if she's one bad afternoon away from tearing the whole thing down. Max Sarin's expressive linework captures that particular flavor of low-grade exasperation that Giant Days does so well, and Whitney Cogar's warm, earthy palette gives the scene a lived-in, relatable charm. Issue #41 is a fine reminder of why this Boom! Box series, from writer John Allison and artist Max Sarin, remains one of 2018's most enjoyable reads in slice-of-life comics.
