From Dupuis's Aire Libre imprint, G.I. Gay brings together writer Alcante and artist Bernardo Muñoz for a World War II story told from a perspective rarely centered in the genre. The cover, illustrated and inked by Muñoz, places us inside a crowded landing craft approaching a smoke-filled shore — helmeted soldiers pack the vessel while a medic bearing a Red Cross armband turns toward us, calm amid the tension of an imminent assault.
