DC's long-running anthology of the weird delivers another unsettling chapter with Ghosts #24, cover-dated March 1974. Nick Cardy's cover pulls you right into a graveyard at dusk, where a terrified man presses against a crumbling stone wall as two shrouded, clawed phantoms hoist an open coffin toward him — a blood-red sun looming ominously overhead. Three stories await inside — "Doom-Hag of Achill Island," "The Phantom Spy," and "Gunfire at a Ghost" — with interior art by Alfredo Alcala, making this a fine example of early-'70s DC horror at its atmospheric best.
