DC's Ghosts #10 (December 1972) delivers exactly what its tagline promises — "True Tales of the Weird and Supernatural!" — with a Nick Cardy cover that pulls no punches: two terrified figures, a man clutching a lantern and a woman in red, flee a darkened mansion while enormous spectral claws reach down from above, green supernatural mist swirling at their feet. The issue promises four chilling tales, including "Hell Beast of Berkeley Square," "Ghost of Wandsgate Gallows," "Death Came at Dawn," and "A Specter Stalks Saigon," the last written by Leo Dorfman with art by Gerry Talaoc and The Redondo Studio. Now monthly at just 20 cents, this is atmospheric horror comics doing what they do best.
