Ghostly Tales #157

Charlton's long-running horror anthology delivers another unsettling chapter with Ghostly Tales #157, featuring cover art by Steve Ditko that sets a wonderfully eerie tone. The cover poses the challenge directly — "Who Dares Face the Ghost in the Wax Museum?" — as a glowing green spectral figure looms over a man with a gun and a fleeing woman, while terrified onlookers recoil in the foreground. With interior work also by Ditko alongside writer Joe Gill and letterer Ray Burzon, this 1982 issue is a fine example of Charlton's brand of atmospheric, pulpy horror.
