Ghostlore #3

Cullen Bunn and Leomacs's Ghostlore continues to unsettle with this third issue from Boom! Studios, and the cover makes a striking case for the series' atmospheric dread. A lone figure in a long coat stands at the threshold of an enormous, screaming supernatural face — its gaping maw framing the small human form against a surge of crackling violet-red energy — a haunting image rendered in deep purples and crimsons by Leomacs and colorist Jason Wordie. That tension between the vast and the solitary captures exactly the kind of folklore-rooted horror this series promises.
