Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe second volume of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex faces Major Motoko Kusanagi against a looming, heavily armed Tachikoma tank on its striking cover — a tense standoff rendered with sharp linework by Yu Kinutani. Subtitled "Episode: Testation," this 2011 Kodansha USA release adapts Kenji Kamayama's original script into manga form, promising the series' signature blend of cyberpunk atmosphere and tactical intrigue. If the cover's charged confrontation between human and machine is any indication, issue #2 sets the tone for a compelling continuation of the Stand Alone Complex saga.

The Hawk 206 experimental tank prototype suddenly goes berserk at the Kenbishi Heavy Industries test facility in Harima, bursts from the grounds and heads toward a populated area. And the pilot code downloaded into the tank's on-board computer is that of the inventor, Takeshi Kago, who died a week prior to the incident.
