Volume 2 of Gewalt, published by Bamboo Édition's Doki Doki imprint in 2013, puts its wild-haired, sharp-eyed protagonist front and center — a young man in a plaid shirt radiating barely contained intensity as bodies tumble chaotically across the rooftops and streets behind him. The cover composition by Tōno Kō frames the scene with a cool urban geometry that makes the surrounding mayhem feel almost casual, which somehow makes it more unsettling. If the first volume hooked you, this one's cover alone signals the series isn't slowing down.
