Clint, a range-rider, becomes the unwitting pawn in a stage robbery scheme when the real culprit, a man called Red, frames him by planting a marked bill from the murdered stage driver Hank Beeman. As a posse pursues Clint, he manages to elude them and discovers the true robber wounded in the canyon, eventually exposing Red's guilt and clearing his name. In the aftermath, Clint encounters the mysterious "Dallas Kid," a notorious outlaw, who recognizes him as a stranger to the territory but accepts his claim of being merely a range-rider looking for work.
