Wild horses lure away the purebred Arab mares and colts, including the finest colt, White Cloud aka Whitey, in Champ's master's care. Champ pursues, engaging the wild pinto leader in a death match interrupted by a cougar who has downed Whitey; Champ repels the cougar as the herd stampedes at its scent. Champ's master rides back for the wagon as Champ guards Whitey.
