Gene Autry Comics #14

Gene Autry helps his friend Putnam's captive daughter Rose escape from masked outlaws who are after the family's oil claims, leading to a chase where Gene pursues the five armed criminals across open country. When the gang takes refuge in the town of Ten Sleep, Gene works with the local law to capture them, though some of the outlaws briefly escape into an arroyo. The story concludes with Gene's successful intervention, allowing Rose and her father to be reunited. The issue also includes a separate story about a young rodeo competitor named Marty who learns humility when his rival Ferdie, posing as a tenderfoot, outperforms him at a rodeo contest.
