Gene Autry Comics #13

Gene Autry tracks down a criminal known as the Hawk, who has shot a prospector and stolen a golden peso. When the Hawk escapes to town with the help of an accomplice named Fidgetin' Freddy, Gene pursues him and eventually corners him in a saloon, leading to a confrontation. The issue also includes a backup story titled "Dusty Makes Good," in which young Tod Miller, a dispatch rider, is sent on a dangerous mission to deliver orders to a cavalry fort besieged by a Native American war party, proving himself capable despite his youth and inexperience.
