A villain named Rankin Dole steals a hidden pitchblende mine found by his partner, keeps him prisoner there to mine, while abducting and raising his daughter. Dole dresses as the Cloven Hoof to murder for his mine, and frames Gene Autry as the murderer. Gene breaks jail and foils his plan, stops the villains, and reunites father and daughter.
