Dustin Nguyen's painterly cover for this February 2011 Wildstorm issue captures the Gen 13 team battered and bloodied against a backdrop of smoke, flames, and crumbling buildings — a striking portrait of young heroes pushed to their limits. A figure wreathed in fire streaks through the darkened sky above, while four teammates below — beaten but still standing — hold their ground with weary resolve. Phil Hester and Cruddie Torian bring "Pocatello, Part Five: Heroes" to its penultimate chapter, and this cover alone makes the stakes feel very real.
