The subtitle "Mezcal" sets the tone perfectly for this unsettling fourth issue of Sean Mackiewicz, Niko Walter, and Mat Lopes's gritty series from Skybound/Image. The cover pulls you in close to a mezcal bottle glowing with an eerie iridescence — and peering back from inside the glass is something deeply wrong, a grotesque creature with luminous spotted flesh and dark, watchful eyes, while a hand holds a rocks glass with ice cubes nearby and a bullet rests on the table beside it. It's the kind of image that makes you want to pour a drink and flip straight to the first page.
