Garulfo #6

The sixth chapter of Ayroles and Maïorana's beloved fairy-tale series brings "De prinses en de beesten" — and this 2022 Arboris edition wears its storybook heart right on its cover. Maïorana's artwork frames our wide-eyed green frog Garulfo in the foreground, while behind him a romantically embracing couple and a hulking, round creature loom against a fiery amber sky, with an imposing castle silhouetted in the distance. It's a beautifully composed image that perfectly balances whimsy and enchantment, with Leprévost's warm, glowing colors tying the whole scene together.
