A firefighter armed with a ladder has arrived to rescue a cat from a tree — only Garfield looks thoroughly unimpressed by the whole operation, dangling from a branch with his signature deadpan glare firmly intact. Andy Hirsch's cover captures the fat cat's magnificent indifference perfectly, turning a classic rescue scenario into a one-panel comedy. Issue #28 from Boom! Studios' KaBOOM! imprint promises more of that dry Garfield wit inside, with a story called "The Little Green Box" from writer Mark Evanier and the full creative team.
