Two armed crooks share a confident smirk as a lone officer strides toward them unarmed — but the cover's dialogue makes clear that "Tom Herrick" is no ordinary cop, and the tagline "You Can't Beat the Law!" sets the stakes beautifully. Ruben Moreira's crisp cover art captures that late-1950s crime-comics tension perfectly, with the shadowy street setting and the criminals' own nervous chatter doing as much storytelling as any caption. Gang Busters #58 is a fine slice of DC's 1957 crime-fighting line, featuring the intriguing story "Cop Without a Gun!
