Game Over #16

Volume 16 of Midam and Adam's long-running comedy series brings the subtitle Ai Ai Eye, and the cover makes the joke immediately clear: a hapless pilot in a tiny plane stares up in sheer panic at an enormous, googly-eyed creature whose gaping maw fills the entire frame against a fiery red sky. The contrast between the colossal monster and the little aircraft speeding straight toward it captures the series' signature blend of slapstick dread perfectly. If you enjoy humor that goes right up to the edge — and then crashes through it — this 2017 Ballon release looks like a very fun ride.
