With the news that Galactus is once again heading to earth, the Silver Surfer and the cosmically powered Alicia Masters head into space to confront him. They are accosted by Galactus' new herald, Red Shift, who is able to open dimensional portals. The Surfer battles Red Shift and sends Alicia back to earth to warn the FF and the Avengers. After the battle, the Surfer heads back to earth himself only to learn that Galactus has already arrived.
