The issue features two stories: "Young Falcon and the Seller of Death," in which a young falcon is hunted near the Swirling Rapids by an Indian named Young Falcon, who pursues the bird as it falls near a camp where he discovers the bird is exhausted; and "King of the Peaks," in which a mysterious winged rider reports to Sheriff Slim Daggle about a dangerous criminal and an illegal loot operation, prompting Gabby to race toward Fort Cannon to recruit a pony express rider to help stop the threat, ultimately confronting the bird-like villain with assistance from volunteers gathered to defend the town.
