“Extraction”

In "Extraction," Snake-Eyes leads a desperate push through the jungles of Thailand, racing toward an extraction point—only to divert when he saves an elderly farmer from Cobra enforcers. Taking shelter in the man’s remote farm, the G.I. Joes find themselves trapped when dawn reveals a full-scale clash between the warlord’s forces, backed by Cobra, and a local general allied with the Oktober Guard. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Herb Trimpe, with inks by Andy Mushynsky, colors by Nel Yomtov, and letters by Phil Felix, this issue captures the tension of survival in a war-torn landscape, all under Ron Wagner’s striking cover.
