In this tense installment of G.I. Joe Season 2, Hawk’s quiet retreat in an Idaho cabin becomes a battleground when a Cobra team is sent to capture him. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Will Rosado with colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr., the issue unfolds with sharp pacing and suspense as Hawk outmaneuvers his pursuers, including the captured woman Munitia, who’s both a threat and a mystery. The cover by Kenneth Loh captures the intensity of the moment, while the story’s clever traps and shifting alliances keep the stakes high—no easy victories, just survival.

A Cobra team is dispatched to capture Hawk at his cabin in Idaho. Hawk helps a woman who falls into the river. He takes her back to his cabin, but when she tries to capture him, he captures her. He booby-traps his door, which kills a Cobra agent when they arrive. They free the woman, Munitia, and encounter another booby-trap. She tries tracking Hawk, and the Commander orders her not to return without him. Hawk takes out agents checking the vehicles, escapes Munitia, and booby-traps the cars. She finally manages to taser him, but Timber knocks her off a cliff.
