A Joe strike force begins to converge on Zartan's hideout in the Everglades as the Baroness goes to Springfield to speak with an imprisoned Bludd to arrange for an assassination. Destro and Firefly attack the Joes using the new tanksmasher jets (Rattler), but are repelled by the Joes in the W.H.A.L.E. and Dragonfly, as the Commander escapes their grasp yet again, with Firefly left behind to clean up the 'mess' at the hideout, as Zartan heads north with the Dreadnoks to locate the Pit.
