G.I. Joe #9

That unsettling grin framed within a cracked, glowing red visor makes for one of the more quietly menacing covers in IDW's 2020 G.I. Joe run — whoever is peering through that shattered lens clearly isn't on the side of the angels. Chris Evenhuis handles both the line work and color here, bathing the entire composition in deep crimsons and purples that give the image a distinctly sinister warmth. Issue #9 promises the kind of tension that hides behind a smile.
